So today we all need to celebrate turtles, terrapins and tortoises and all their awesomeness! (I know, I know, I am a little slow as today is almost over... turtle-like haha)
This is just one of a few pictures I need to add from the past few days- I was herping again.. oh boy! This is a female eastern box turtle, aged to be at least 10, and she was GRAVID!
She was spared while my grandpa held her in a box at his house for me to see... he didn't know that the power line people were clear-cutting her home range today.. lucky girl!
